Job Title: Shipping Associate

Shift: 2nd Shift

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Shipping Associate to manage and support the shipping and receiving of transmission units. This role involves packing, preparing, and shipping transmissions, including podding transmissions, while ensuring all items are handled with care and accuracy. The ideal candidate will be physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and able to manage the flow of materials within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Package, label, and prepare transmission units, including podded transmissions, for shipment.
• Organize and process outbound shipments, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
• Receive and verify incoming shipments, checking for accuracy and damages.
• Maintain and organize shipping inventory, ensuring parts and materials are stored properly.
• Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks, in a safe manner.
• Lift and move heavy transmission parts up to 50 pounds throughout the workday.
• Ensure all shipping documentation, such as bills of lading, invoices, and packing slips, is completed correctly.
• Work with the team to track inventory levels and reorder shipping supplies as necessary.
• Maintain a clean and organized shipping area, ensuring it adheres to safety standards.
• Assist in the loading and unloading of trucks as needed.
• Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure shipments meet customer and company requirements.
• Provide support for any special shipping requests or urgent orders.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently throughout the day.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in basic computer applications for shipping and inventory management.
• Knowledge of shipping processes and carriers (FedEx, UPS, etc.) is a plus.
• Forklift or material handling equipment certification (preferred but not required).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift, carry, and move transmission units and parts up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods of time.
• Ability to operate forklifts or other machinery (if applicable).
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
