Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team, responsible for ensuring the optimal operation and maintenance of our facilities and manufacturing equipment. This role requires a proactive individual with strong technical expertise in electrical, mechanical, and facilities maintenance, capable of troubleshooting and repairing diverse systems. The Maintenance Technician will play a vital role in maintaining safety standards, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous production processes. Candidates should possess excellent problem-solving skills, leadership qualities, and a customer service mindset to effectively collaborate with team members and other departments.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic issues using schematics, Ohmmeters, and CMMS software.
- Repair or replace faulty components including motors, wiring, sensors, and mechanical parts.
- Conduct welding repairs as needed to maintain equipment integrity.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders within the CMMS system.
- Assist with residential painting or facility upgrades to improve operational efficiency.
- Supervise junior technicians or apprentices when required, providing guidance and leadership.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry standards during all maintenance activities.
- Support manufacturing processes by minimizing equipment downtime through prompt repairs.
- Collaborate with production teams to coordinate scheduled maintenance without disrupting operations.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance within manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Strong electrical experience including working with schematics and troubleshooting electrical systems.
- Mechanical knowledge of machinery components, pneumatics, hydraulics, and general repair techniques.
- Skilled in welding techniques for repair and fabrication tasks.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation troubleshooting.
- Experience using CMMS software for work order management.
- Knowledge of residential painting is a plus for facility upgrades or aesthetic improvements.
- Supervising experience is desirable for team leadership roles.
- Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and use diagnostic tools such as Ohmmeters effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English to facilitate clear documentation and teamwork.
