Job Title: Senior Data Engineer (Palantir Foundry experience strongly preferred)

PLEASE NOTE: You must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder. We do not support employment based visa sponsorship for this role.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure data platforms that power mission-critical analytics, machine learning, and operational decision-making across the organization.

You will work closely with data scientists, analysts, software engineers, and business stakeholders to transform raw data into actionable insights at scale. Palantir Foundry experience is a significant advantage, as we already use Foundry in production across the organization.

This role is remote based but will require approx 10% travel to our manufacturing facilities and or Corp HQ.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and optimize end-to-end data pipelines (batch and real-time/streaming) using modern cloud-native tools

  • Own the architecture, performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency of data infrastructure

  • Develop and maintain data models (dimensional, normalized, and data vault patterns) for analytics and reporting

  • Implement data quality frameworks, monitoring, alerting, and automated testing for pipelines

  • Collaborate on data governance, lineage, cataloging, access control, and compliance

  • Lead or contribute to the evaluation, rollout, and customization of enterprise data platforms, with strong preference for hands-on Palantir Foundry expertise

  • Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in code quality, CI/CD, IaC, and documentation

  • Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis on data discrepancies or pipeline failures

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role

-
Deep expertise in SQL and Python (or Scala/Java); ability to write clean, production-grade code

  • Proven experience building and orchestrating complex data pipelines with tools such as:

  • Apache Spark (Databricks, EMR, or Synapse)

  • Airflow, dbt, Prefect, Dagster, or similar

  • Kafka, Kinesis, Pulsar, or other streaming platforms

  • Strong cloud platform experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure) including S3/ADLS/GCS, Redshift/Snowflake/BigQuery, IAM, VPC, etc.

  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, slowly changing dimensions, partitioning, and performance tuning at petabyte scale

  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi) and CI/CD for data platforms

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments

Strongly Preferred Skills (Big Plus)

- Hands-on development experience with Palantir Foundry (Ontology, Code Repo, Pipeline Builder, Contour, Quiver, Object Storage, Workshop, etc.)

  • Building and deploying Foundry transforms, pipelines, and applications in production

  • Palantir certifications or completed Palantir training bootcamps

  • Experience migrating legacy data platforms (e.g., on-prem Hadoop, traditional EDW) to Foundry

  • Familiarity with Palantir AIP (Agent Builder, Logic, AI-FDE, etc.) is a bonus

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with Delta Lake, Iceberg, or Hudi

  • Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS/EKS)

  • ML-Ops tooling (Feature Stores, MLflow, SageMaker, Vertex AI)

  • Knowledge of Graph databases or ontology-driven platforms

If you've built production data platforms that power real business outcomes—and especially if you've done it with Palantir Foundry—we'd love to talk.

Apply with your resume and a brief note about your most complex data engineering project.
