Alloy Valves and Control, Inc. (AVCO) is a Southern California based manufacturer of ball valves and flow measurement instrumentation. We manufacture superior products and provide outstanding customer service while providing a positive work environment where employees can grow and succeed. Our valves are placed in pharmaceutical plants, food/beverage plants, power stations, electric automotive facilities, rocket engines and more. AVCO is growing and expanding into new markets. We have an immediate opening for a full-time customer service position. Related industry experience is preferred, but not required. We will provide all the necessary training in a friendly and supportive environment. If you happen to have strong technical skills related to our industry, we would gladly discuss upgrading this position to a technical sales level.

Duties and responsibilities include the following:

• Answering phones calls and email messages in a professional manner

• Providing quotes to customers

• Responding to customer questions and inquiries

• Resolving customer problems to their satisfaction

• Communicating with production staff regarding status of projects

• Entering sales orders

• Entering data into a variety of customer and internal reports

• Coordinating shipments and deliveries

• Assisting with purchasing of parts from vendors

• Coordination of paperwork between different departments

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Basic computer skills including Excel, Word and Outlook

• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred

• Dependable and responsible – follows directions, works well in a team environment, works with little supervision when required, and maintains a sense of urgency to complete work quickly and accurately
