About the Role
The Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of water and wastewater construction projects. This role manages cost, schedule, subcontractors, client coordination, and regulatory compliance for projects supporting municipal and industrial utility infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Manage full project lifecycle from mobilization through closeout, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, procurement coordination, subcontractor management, and execution oversight.
- Serve as primary point of contact with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment on project scope, changes, and deliverables.
- Oversee submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, approvals, and ensure compliance with contract documents, building codes, and company quality standards.
- Monitor project costs and budgets, manage change orders, approve pay applications, track financial performance, and maintain accurate project documentation and reports.
- Collaborate with superintendents and field leadership to coordinate daily operations, resource planning, and schedule adherence; anticipate and mitigate risks.
- Lead project meetings, progress updates, construction reviews, inspections, and support project closeout, including punch lists, owner turnover, and warranty documentation.
- Mentor and guide junior project staff or assistant project managers; foster teamwork, communication, and knowledge sharing within the project team.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience managing water, wastewater, or heavy civil utility projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, subcontractors, documentation and project closeout.
- Strong communication, negotiation, organizational and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with project management and construction software/platforms, submittal and RFI processes, cost control, and quality assurance systems.
- Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders, make decisions under pressure, and adapt to evolving project conditions and requirements.
