Position Overview:
The Maintenance Director at Riverbank Post-Acute will play a crucial role in ensuring the facility operates smoothly and efficiently. This position is responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities, ensuring that the environment is safe, clean, and conducive to the well-being of residents and staff. The Maintenance Director will develop and implement maintenance policies and procedures, manage a team of maintenance staff, and coordinate with external vendors as necessary. A key focus will be on preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and enhance the longevity of the facility's equipment and infrastructure. Ultimately, the Maintenance Director will contribute to the overall quality of care provided to residents by maintaining a well-functioning facility.
- Oversee daily maintenance operations and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program for all facility equipment.
- Manage and supervise maintenance staff, providing training and support as needed.
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialized maintenance and repair work.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and prepare reports for management.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in facilities management, engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with budget management and cost control in a maintenance setting.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards in healthcare facilities.
- The required skills for this role include strong leadership and management abilities, which will be essential for supervising the maintenance team and ensuring high standards of work. Technical skills in various maintenance disciplines will be utilized daily to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. Excellent communication skills are necessary for coordinating with staff, residents, and external vendors, ensuring that everyone is informed and aligned. Problem-solving skills will be critical in addressing unexpected maintenance challenges and implementing effective solutions. Additionally, organizational skills will help in managing maintenance schedules, documentation, and compliance with safety regulations.
