Behavioral Health Tech Driver

THIS POSITION HOURS ARE MONDAY-FRIDAY 10:00AM-6:00PM (non negotiable)

Virtue Recovery Houston is a nationally accredited, evidence-based detoxification and residential program. We provide safe, supportive, and compassionate care for individuals recovering from substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions. Our staff is dedicated to guiding clients through their recovery journey with respect and dignity.

We are currently seeking aBehavioral Health Tech Driver to join our weekend team. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone who is compassionate, dependable, and passionate about helping people build healthier futures.

What You'll Do

As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will:

• Provide transportation for clients as part of your role as a BHT Driver. This includes:
• Driving clients for all facility-related needs.
• Transporting clients home after discharge.
• Picking up new admissions.
• Completing facility driver errands as assigned.
• Transporting clients to appointments or other approved locations.
• Driving clients to other cities when needed (e.g., Dallas, San Antonio, Austin).
• Support clients as they adjust to the treatment program.
• Assist with admissions, orientation, and transportation when needed.
• Build professional and supportive relationships with clients while maintaining clear boundaries.
• Observe and report changes in client behavior, mood, or health to medical and clinical staff.
• Ensure client safety through regular check-ins and monitoring.
• Facilitate orientation groups or small meetings to help clients feel connected.
• Assist with de-escalation when clients experience distress or consider leaving treatment.
• Monitor family visits and group activities to ensure a safe environment.
• Keep documentation and shift reports accurate and up to date.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming facility.
