We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Production Supervisor to lead a team responsible for the hand assembly of high-end sensors. The ideal candidate will oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring quality, efficiency, and adherence to safety standards while meeting production goals. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who excels in a high-precision manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Safety and Compliance:

  • Ensure all team members adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and company policies, ensuring full compliance.

Team Leadership:

  • Supervise, train, and mentor a team of assembly technicians performing intricate hand assembly processes.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes collaboration and accountability.

Production Management:

  • Plan, organize, and manage daily production activities to meet delivery schedules and quality standards.
  • Monitor workflows to identify and resolve bottlenecks or inefficiencies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Quality Assurance and Engineering, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Create and supervise recovery plans for and gaps in commitments.

Quality Assurance:

  • Maintain high standards of craftsmanship and attention to detail in all assembly operations.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure products meet specifications and customer expectations.

Process Improvement:

  • Implement and sustain lean manufacturing practices to optimize productivity and minimize waste.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and work with engineering teams to refine assembly methods.

What your background should look like

  • Proven experience (5+ years) as a supervisor or lead in a manufacturing or assembly environment, preferably involving high-precision or high-end products.
  • Strong understanding of hand assembly techniques and processes, including soldering, small part assembly, or other fine motor skill applications.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, 5S practices, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with ERP/MRP systems preferably SAP.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or education is a plus.
