Barista

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Barista to join our vibrant café team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional customer service, prepare high-quality coffee and food items, and maintain a welcoming environment for all guests. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food service, retail math, and POS systems within a dynamic café setting. Previous barista experience is preferred, along with a passion for coffee and customer satisfaction.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks using proper techniques.
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS efficiently for order processing and cash handling.
• Manage food safety standards by adhering to proper food handling and preparation procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and retail math calculations.
• Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food prep stations, seating areas, and equipment.
• Restock supplies as needed and assist with food preparation when necessary.
• Manage time effectively to serve multiple customers during busy periods while maintaining quality standards.

Experience

• Previous experience as a Barista or in the food industry is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and sales transactions.
• Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling techniques.
• Experience in coffee preparation, serving, and food service operations is a plus.

Pay: $ $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 30.0 per week
