About This Opportunity

Join our marketing team for a hands-on learning experience in arts marketing and communications. This internship offers direct mentorship from our Director of Marketing and Public Relations, providing you with real-world experience in professional theatre marketing while building your portfolio and expanding your skill set.

What You'll Learn and Experience

Working closely with the Director of Marketing, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Learn professional social media content creation and management strategies
  • Grow your design skills using Adobe Creative Suite in a professional setting
  • Expand your experience with email marketing campaigns and analytics
  • Benefit from direct mentorship and career coaching from industry professionals
  • Develop skills in arts marketing, public relations, and audience engagement
  • Build your professional network within the performing arts community

Qualifications We're Looking For

Required:

  • Interest in marketing, communications, arts administration, or related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PowerPoint
  • Interest in learning and supporting social media platform management (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok)
  • Enthusiasm for the performing arts

Preferred (or willingness to learn):

  • Interest in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Experience with or interest in learning design platforms (Canva or similar)
  • Interest in email marketing platforms
  • Photography skills or interest in developing them

Internship Responsibilities

You'll assist and support the marketing team by:

  • Assisting with content creation for social media channels under the guidance of the Director of Marketing
  • Supporting administrative tasks including proofreading, market research, data reporting, and drafting communications
  • Learning to design marketing materials using Adobe Creative Suite
  • Assisting with email campaign creation in our platform, WordFly
  • Supporting special events and show openings
  • Helping maintain archival materials for the 2026 season
