Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and the ability to operate various heavy machinery safely and efficiently. This role requires a keen understanding of construction management principles and the ability to work collaboratively on-site to ensure project success. EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.

Duties

• Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, and Excavators in a safe and efficient manner.
• Collaborate with project managers and supervisors to ensure adherence to project schedules.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents to execute tasks accurately.
• Conduct regular maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards on construction sites.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety standards at all times.
• Supervise junior operators or laborers as needed, providing guidance and training.

Skills

• Proficiency in construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, and HeavyBid.
• Strong understanding of contracts and project scheduling methodologies.
• Experience in pipeline construction and heavy civil projects is preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and perform construction estimating effectively.
• Familiarity with quality control processes within the construction industry.
• Excellent management skills with previous supervising experience being advantageous.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to equipment operation and site safety.

Pay: From $28.00 per hour
