Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise restaurant staff to ensure smooth shift operations, maintaining high standards of food quality and customer service
- Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring compliance with safety and hygiene regulations while maintaining efficiency in a quick service or casual dining setting
- Manage POS systems such as Square POS for accurate order processing, cash handling, and transaction reconciliation
- Control inventory levels through effective stock management, ordering, and waste reduction strategies
- Train new team members and provide ongoing development opportunities to enhance skills in food handling, kitchen management, and customer service
- Monitor restaurant performance metrics, including budgeting, sales targets, and operational costs to optimize profitability
- Ensure adherence to food safety standards and health regulations across all areas of food production and service
Experience
- Proven management experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment, preferably within quick service, casual dining, or fine dining establishments
- Demonstrated supervisory skills with a strong background in team management and staff training & development
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen operations, and food safety protocols
- Hands-on experience with POS systems such as Square POS for efficient transaction processing
- Background in inventory control, budgeting, and food cost management within the food industry
- Experience working in hospitality settings like hotels or catering services is highly desirable
- Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills; capable of interviewing candidates and fostering a positive team culture
