Security Officer: Flex/Floater

Disclaimer: Applicant must be very flexible and available to cover shifts ranging from Jupiter-Vero Beach centrally located in Port St Lucie. This position may entail an undesirable schedule in the sense that you will be trained at multiple job sites and will fill in on an as needed basis. At this time we can offer 40 hours a week and can transition into a consistant schedule at one location if applicant proves to be proficent.

Seeking D License Security Officers to become a part of our team at Vigilant Protection Services. The selected individual will perform a variety of duties including strict access control and or security patrol on assigned premises to enforce community rules and identify risks in order to protect life and property. This role does provide an opportunity to gain experience at a variety of security operations and will work closely with corporate managers considering the nature of the position. It also includes an elevated pay rate due to the increased demand of a flexible and inconsistent schedule. Although demanding, this position offers the opportunity to start at a corporate role and potentially expedite career growth based on performance and work ethic. Responsibilities:

• Be on call with open availability and desire to work
• Strict Access Control (Gatehouse)
• Patrol: Patrol community to serve as a deterrent to crime, enforce parking regulations and provide customer service and a sense of security.
• Club House: Limit all foot traffic entering clubhouse to be resident only . Checking I.D.s and logging in all residents and approved visitors.
• Monitor premises to prevent theft, infractions of rules, and criminal activity.
• Monitor CCTV cameras and equipment to detect criminal activity.
• Document duties thoroughly utilizing tablets and other electronic devices.
• Report any facility issues such as safety hazards, fire hazards, vandalism and other maintenance-related issues.
• Request emergency personnel for high-risk situations or criminal activity.

Qualifications and Expectations:

• Valid D Security Officer License.
• Valid Drivers License.
• Customer service driven.
• Consistently treat others with dignity and respect while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Previous experience in security.
• Familiarity with access control protocols.
• Maintain a good driving record.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Reliable transportation.
• Well-groomed appearance with high uniform standards in mind.
• Team Player and the ability to lead by example.
• Communication skills to build strong relationships with facility guests, crews, employees and vendors. Dignity and Respect, Always.
