Barista

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for drink making, excellent customer service skills, and experience in food and beverage preparation. Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, teas, and other drinks with precision and consistency
• Operate POS systems such as Square POS efficiently for order processing and cash handling
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, and ensuring satisfaction
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in the café area, including food preparation and handling
• Manage cash register transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations
• Restock supplies as needed and ensure the café remains organized and inviting
• Assist with food service duties, including food preparation when necessary
• Uphold food safety protocols and adhere to health regulations at all times

Qualifications

• Previous barista experience or background in the food industry is preferred
• Knowledge of POS systems such as Square POS is a plus
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
• Ability to perform retail math, cash handling, and basic math calculations accurately
• Experience in food safety, food handling, and food preparation is desirable
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Prior experience in food service or café operations is advantageous
