Job Summary:
Weakley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry and Housekeeping Aide to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, sanitary, and comfortable environment for our residents. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a compassionate attitude, and a commitment to upholding high cleanliness and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily housekeeping duties, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing resident rooms and common areas.
• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute laundry, ensuring proper handling of resident belongings.
• Maintain and replenish housekeeping and laundry supplies as needed.
• Follow infection control and safety guidelines to ensure a safe and sanitary environment.
• Assist with disposing of trash and soiled linens according to facility protocols.
• Report any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate department.
• Provide friendly and courteous service to residents and staff.
• Adhere to all facility policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in housekeeping and/or laundry services, preferably in a healthcare setting, is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to follow safety and infection control guidelines.
• Compassionate and respectful attitude toward residents and staff.
