Job Description

Since its inception in 1992, SUSE has been at the forefront of technical innovation where change has been the only constant. We are seeking an experienced, commercially-oriented business professional to lead a cross-functional virtual team and rapidly grow our AWS Strategic Global Alliance.

As a respected thought leader, your vision and direction will inspire the active engagement of indirect team members from across SUSE's global organization — including sales, marketing, services, and product — all working together with you to create and execute strategic plans. You will take to market compelling, differentiated solutions with AWS that drive rapid commercial growth for SUSE.

With a deep understanding of the AWS organization, business strategy, and culture, you will engage with your partner at senior levels to develop a shared strategic vision and the executive sponsorship required to act on it. The key to your success will be your ability to foster cross-functional collaboration and co-innovation between SUSE and AWS, and then effectively drive the resulting differentiated solutions into the market together in a way that aligns with both organizations' strategies, goals, and targets.

How You'll Contribute
  • Strategic Alliance Leadership: Own, develop, and drive the global AWS alliance strategy and execution plan. You will create a holistic long-term vision and annual strategic plans that encompass joint revenue and market objectives, guiding our route-to-market strategies (GSI, channel, ISV, MSP) and acting as SUSE's definitive subject matter expert on all aspects of the AWS partnership.

  • Revenue Growth & Ownership: Take full accountability for achieving revenue targets generated through the alliance. You will track and report all revenue streams, including co-sell, Marketplace, and MDF, while driving marketplace programs designed to monetize our joint listings and achieve exponential growth.

  • Cross-Functional Influence & Collaboration: Inspire and lead a cross-functional virtual team (Sales, Services, Marketing, Technical, and Product) to orchestrate programs, solutions, and go-to-market motions. A core part of your role will be to build and foster executive relationships, networking with and influencing senior leaders across the AWS organization to drive collaboration and co-innovation.

  • Go-To-Market Execution: Drive the operational cadence of the alliance with all internal and external stakeholders. You will manage the pipeline and sales engagement rhythm, ensure joint solution plans are executed by both organizations' GTM teams, and effectively leverage MDF to drive awareness and demand.

  • Internal Alignment & Enablement: Serve as the central point of contact for the AWS alliance within SUSE. This includes engaging with Engineering to influence product roadmaps, partnering with Sales Leadership to identify strategic
