We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide/Dishwasher to join our team in providing high-quality nutritional care within our beautiful, well established skilled nursing facility-Columbine West Health and Rehab. The ideal candidate will assist with food preparation, service, and sanitation to ensure residents receive nutritious and appealing meals in a safe and clean environment. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the well-being of residents while developing valuable skills in food service and dietary operations.

Duties

• Assist with food production and meal preparation, following dietary guidelines and safety standards
• Serve meals to residents in a courteous and professional manner, ensuring proper portioning and presentation
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, dining areas, and food service equipment through proper sanitation practices
• Handle food safely according to sanitation protocols, including proper storage, handling, and disposal of food items
• Buss tables and assist with cleaning dishes, utensils, and kitchen surfaces to uphold hygiene standards
• Support dietary department operations by organizing supplies and assisting with inventory management
• Follow all safety procedures related to food handling, sanitation, and workplace safety regulations
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing residents' needs with kindness and professionalism

Experience

• Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospital, or food industry environments is preferred
• Culinary experience or background in food service, including food preparation and serving roles, is advantageous
• Familiarity with dietary department procedures, food safety standards, and sanitation practices is beneficial
• Experience with food handling, cooking, meal preparation, or dietetics can enhance performance in this role
• Strong time management skills are essential for efficiently completing tasks within scheduled meal times
• Prior dietary aide or food service experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided for qualified candidates interested in entering the field

Pay: $ $16.00 per hour
