Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and analytical Inventory Specialist to manage and optimize our company's inventory processes. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supply chain management and procurement activities. This position requires strong data analysis skills, proficiency with warehouse management systems, and experience in demand planning and logistics. The Inventory Specialist will ensure accurate inventory control, support process improvements, and collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to maintain seamless operations across the supply chain.

Duties

• Conduct data mining and data analytics to identify trends, forecast demand, and support inventory planning.
• Perform root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Manage procurement activities, including sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and evaluating supplier performance..
• Coordinate with logistics providers for shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, and materials handling.
• Support category management initiatives by analyzing pricing strategies and conducting financial modeling.
• Assist in process improvement projects aimed at enhancing efficiency in stocking, materials management, and warehouse operations.
• Operate forklifts and perform heavy lifting as needed for materials handling within the market environment.
• Collaborate with retail management and e-commerce teams to optimize inventory levels across multiple channels.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, conduct regular cycle counts, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience in supply chain management or inventory control.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis and financial modeling.
• Experience with procurement processes, sourcing strategies, and supplier management.
• Familiarity with demand planning, production planning, and supply chain analytics.
• Ability to operate forklifts safely; heavy lifting capability required.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience managing contracts with suppliers or 3PL providers.
• Knowledge of materials handling procedures, shipping & receiving protocols, and order fulfillment processes.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Warehouse experience preferred; familiarity with retail management or e-commerce logistics is a plus.
