Responsibilities
Monitor and report progress of the Liability for Maintenance scope and oversee the quality and rate of production of drawings by Design Partner.
Own strategy and development of the Liability for Maintenance project, including all relevant EKFB documents.
Develop policies, procedures and guidance in the Business Management System.
Act as the main point of contact between the H&C Team, Highways, Land & Asset Works and U&A functions.
Support development of highways boundaries drawings and associated consents.
Manage third‑party access requirements in the context of liability for maintenance.
Lead troubleshooting and problem‑solving to establish consistent principles.
Collaborate with the Route‑Wide Commercial Team to notify any changes to the process.
Draft and manage all upstream and downstream commercial communications and support audit processes.
Maintain relationships with parent‑company functional specialists and promote collaborative working.
Ensure compliance with land‑related undertakings and assurances, providing evidence when required.
Integrate Liability for Maintenance with relevant systems such as SmartConnect and GIS, engaging with Innovation Team and HS2 on future developments.
Engage with Accommodation Works Design Coordinators and ALO teams regarding the development of Liability for Maintenance.
Qualifications & Key Skills
Degree (or equivalent) in civil engineering or a related field; Chartered professional preferred.
Extensive experience in project execution with a strong background in design, highways and commissioning activities on major projects.
Experience managing quality management systems on multi‑disciplinary projects with multiple stakeholders.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, ProjectWise and similar systems.
Excellent people and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and build strong relationships internally and externally.
Commercial awareness and the ability to drive efficient delivery and business improvement.
Capability to work independently and proactively.
Strong risk management skills for large programmes.
