Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment, including conveyors, sortation systems, and material handling machinery.
- Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify and address potential safety hazards or maintenance needs.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues with warehouse equipment.
- Install and modify equipment as needed to improve efficiency and workflow within the logistics operations.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Properly use and maintain tools and equipment, adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance performed, including parts used and time spent.
- Assist with the implementation of new technologies and equipment to enhance warehouse operations.
- Ensure the proper use and availability of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for all warehouse personnel.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to minimize operational disruptions.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED; technical certification in a related field is a plus. Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a warehouse or logistics environment. Strong mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic skills. Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals. Experience with preventative maintenance programs. Knowledge of industrial safety standards. Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the logistics team. Good communication skills.
