We are hiring a Shipping Clerk for our dynamic distribution center in Tampa, Florida. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately and efficiently, meeting all customer and carrier requirements. Your organizational skills and attention to detail will be critical to the success of our logistics operations. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading and shipping labels.
- Coordinate with carriers to schedule pick-ups and deliveries.
- Inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy and damage before dispatch.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and update tracking information in the system.
- Communicate with internal departments and external customers regarding shipment status.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies, including the use of appropriate PPE.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed.
- Operate shipping software and equipment efficiently.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and safety of the shipping department within our logistics hub.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a related administrative role.
- Proficiency with computer systems, including shipping software and MS Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all procedures.
