We are looking for a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Verify the contents of deliveries against purchase orders, invoices, and packing slips.
- Inspect all incoming goods for damage, shortages, or discrepancies.
- Accurately document all received items into the inventory management system.
- Label received goods appropriately for storage or further processing.
- Report any discrepancies or damages to supervisors and relevant departments promptly.
- Assist with organizing and stocking received inventory in designated areas.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in receiving, inventory control, or a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to perform tasks involving moderate lifting (up to 40 pounds).
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of using PPE.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and data entry.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain processes is beneficial.
- Reliability and punctuality.
