We are seeking a qualified Warehouse Technician to maintain and optimize our warehouse infrastructure and equipment in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As a Warehouse Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and implementing improvements to enhance safety and productivity. You'll work with a variety of machinery, including conveyor systems, forklifts, and automated storage systems. A strong mechanical aptitude, understanding of safety standards, and experience in a warehouse or industrial setting are essential. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, conveyors, and automated systems.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues.
- Ensure all equipment is functioning safely and efficiently according to operational standards.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Identify potential safety hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Support the logistics team by ensuring equipment availability for daily operations.
- Manage spare parts inventory and order necessary supplies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues related to equipment performance.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in mechanics or electronics is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician, Mechanic, or in a similar role within a warehouse or industrial environment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
- Proficiency in operating various hand and power tools.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and procedures.
- Commitment to using PPE and following all safety guidelines.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Familiarity with logistics operations is beneficial.
