Are you a seasoned leader with a passion for warehouse management? We are hiring a Warehouse Supervisor in St. Louis, Missouri, to oversee our daily warehouse operations and lead a team of dedicated associates. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe flow of goods, managing inventory, and optimizing workflow to meet operational goals. Key responsibilities include supervising staff, training new hires, enforcing Safety regulations, and ensuring all team members correctly utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE ). You will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of productivity, accuracy, and cleanliness within the warehouse. Experience in Logistics , inventory management, and team leadership is essential. The ability to motivate a team, troubleshoot operational issues, and make sound decisions under pressure is critical. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse procedures, including order fulfillment, shipping, receiving, and inventory control. You will also be involved in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. The capacity for moderate Lifting and general physical work is expected, though the primary focus is on leadership and operational oversight. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct the daily activities of warehouse staff.
- Ensure all warehouse operations are conducted safely and efficiently.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate warehouse associates.
- Manage inventory levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and investigate discrepancies.
- Oversee the receiving, warehousing, and distribution of products.
- Implement and enforce company Safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure proper use of PPE by all team members.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflow for maximum efficiency.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless Logistics operations.
- Address operational issues and implement corrective actions.
- Promote a positive and productive team environment.
- Occasionally assist with tasks requiring Lifting and physical work.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar leadership role.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and Logistics .
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety standards and procedures.
- Experience with training and managing teams.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in warehouse management software.
- Ability to perform tasks involving moderate Lifting and physical activity.
- Commitment to enforcing the use of PPE and maintaining a safe workplace.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
