As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items from warehouse shelves based on customer orders, ensuring timely and precise fulfillment. This role is crucial for maintaining customer satisfaction and the smooth functioning of our distribution network. Safety is our top priority, and you will receive comprehensive training on safe lifting techniques, the use of warehouse equipment, and the mandatory requirement to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret order tickets or use a handheld scanner to identify products needed.
- Locate items within the warehouse efficiently and accurately.
- Pick specified quantities of merchandise, ensuring product quality.
- Transport picked items to the designated packing or shipping stations.
- Verify picked items against the order to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards.
- Assist with stocking and replenishment of inventory as needed.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to logistics and safety.
- Adhere to strict guidelines for safe lifting and the correct use of PPE.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is beneficial.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, and perform tasks involving lifting up to 40 pounds regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Willingness to adhere to all safety regulations and use required PPE.
