We are hiring an Order Picker to join our warehouse team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role is essential for our logistics operations, ensuring that customer orders are picked accurately and efficiently. As an Order Picker, you will navigate the warehouse using order sheets or scanning technology to locate and retrieve specified items. Your speed, accuracy, and attention to detail will directly impact customer satisfaction. We are committed to providing a safe working environment, which includes comprehensive training on safe lifting practices, the operation of material handling equipment, and the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret order forms or use a scanning device to identify items to be picked.
- Locate and retrieve specified products from warehouse shelves.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items against the order list.
- Transport picked items to the packing or staging area.
- Repackage items if necessary and ensure they are ready for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Assist with stocking and replenishment of inventory.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, including proper lifting techniques and the use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is preferred but not required.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 40 pounds regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in picking items.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Understanding of basic logistics and warehouse procedures.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the consistent use of required PPE.
