We are seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our logistics team in Boise, Idaho. This critical role focuses on maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory through diligent tracking, auditing, and reconciliation. You will be responsible for ensuring that our stock levels are precise, minimizing discrepancies, and supporting efficient warehouse operations. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventories to ensure stock accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Manage inventory movements, ensuring accurate recording in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Monitor stock levels, identify slow-moving or obsolete items, and report findings.
- Coordinate with receiving, shipping, and operations teams to ensure smooth inventory flow.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory within the warehouse.
- Maintain accurate records and generate reports on inventory status, adjustments, and discrepancies.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE, and promote a culture of safety.
- Assist in optimizing warehouse layout and space utilization for better inventory management and logistics efficiency.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a related field.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to conduct audits and reconciliations accurately.
- Knowledge of inventory control techniques and best practices in logistics.
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with different departments.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and safety procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
