We are hiring a Shipping Clerk to manage the outbound logistics process at our Minneapolis, Minnesota facility. This role is crucial for ensuring that all outgoing shipments are accurately documented, processed, and dispatched efficiently and safely. You will be responsible for preparing shipping labels, coordinating with carriers, verifying shipment contents, and maintaining shipping records. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and experience in a fast-paced shipping or logistics environment. A commitment to safety is paramount; you will be expected to follow all safety protocols and utilize appropriate PPE. This position may involve some lifting and moving of packages, so a good understanding of safe lifting techniques is important. You will work closely with warehouse associates and customer service teams to guarantee timely and accurate delivery of goods. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process shipping labels and documentation.
- Coordinate with various shipping carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Verify outgoing shipments against orders for accuracy.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and logs.
- Communicate with internal teams and external carriers regarding shipment status.
- Ensure all shipments comply with company and carrier regulations.
- Adhere to all safety procedures, including the proper use of PPE and safe lifting practices.
- Assist with loading and unloading shipments as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a related logistics role.
- Proficiency in shipping software and basic computer skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Knowledge of shipping regulations and safety protocols.
