We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Huntsville, Alabama. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role is critical to maintaining the smooth flow of goods within our distribution center. You will perform daily inspections of equipment, ensure adherence to all safety regulations, and maintain a clean and organized work environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of warehouse operations and a commitment to workplace safety. Experience with various types of forklifts is a plus. You will be part of a team dedicated to excellence in logistics and supply chain management. This position requires attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. We provide all necessary PPE and emphasize comprehensive safety training to ensure a secure working environment. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to load, unload, and move materials.
- Perform pre-operation checks and routine maintenance on forklifts.
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations, including proper use of PPE.
- Safely stack and store materials in designated areas.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
- Follow all instructions for safe material handling and lifting techniques.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a forklift operator.
- Valid forklift certification.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
