Seeking a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our bustling distribution center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This vital role ensures that all incoming inventory is processed accurately and efficiently, contributing to the smooth operation of our logistics chain. You will be responsible for inspecting, verifying, and documenting all incoming shipments, making sure they match purchase orders and quality standards. Responsibilities:
- Accept, unload, and inspect all inbound shipments.
- Verify received goods against packing slips, purchase orders, and invoices for accuracy in quantity and item type.
- Document any discrepancies, shortages, or damages found during the receiving process.
- Record received items into the warehouse management system (WMS) promptly and accurately.
- Tag and label received products according to company procedures for identification and tracking.
- Stage received goods for put-away into appropriate warehouse locations.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the receiving dock and surrounding areas.
- Assist with inventory control tasks, such as cycle counting and stock verification.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of appropriate PPE.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, vendors, and internal warehouse personnel regarding shipments.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a receiving, warehouse, or inventory control role is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and scanning equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to PPE requirements.
