We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Picker/Packer to join our dynamic logistics team in Portland, Oregon. As a Picker/Packer, you will play a crucial role in our distribution center, ensuring that orders are accurately picked, packed, and prepared for shipment. This is a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure are highly valued. Your primary responsibilities will include using handheld scanners to locate and retrieve items from warehouse shelves, carefully inspecting goods for damage or defects, and packaging them securely for transit. You will also be responsible for labeling packages correctly, maintaining an organized workspace, and assisting with inventory counts as needed. We are committed to providing a safe working environment, and all employees are required to adhere to strict safety protocols. This includes the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. The role involves significant standing, walking, and reaching, as well as moderate lifting, up to 50 pounds. We are looking for individuals with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a commitment to teamwork. Previous experience in a warehouse or fulfillment setting is a plus, but we are willing to train motivated individuals. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from designated warehouse locations using an RF scanner.
- Inspect items for damage before packing.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently, ensuring product integrity during transit.
- Label all packages correctly with shipping information.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Meet or exceed picking and packing performance metrics.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
- Demonstrate a commitment to safe lifting practices.
