We are seeking motivated and reliable Warehouse Associates to join our dynamic logistics team in Indianapolis, Indiana. As a Warehouse Associate, you will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our distribution center. Your primary responsibilities will include receiving, processing, and storing incoming goods, as well as picking, packing, and preparing outgoing orders. This position requires a strong commitment to safety and accuracy in all tasks performed. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, so the ability to multitask and maintain organization is key.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload shipments from trucks.
- Inspect goods for damage and discrepancies.
- Accurately sort, label, and store inventory.
- Pick customer orders using pick lists or scanning equipment.
- Pack orders securely for shipment, ensuring proper materials are used.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and potentially forklifts (if certified).
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Conduct inventory counts and assist with cycle counts as needed.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding inventory and order status.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse or general labor experience is a plus.
- Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of basic inventory management principles.
- Commitment to workplace safety and following guidelines.
