Join our dedicated logistics team as an Order Picker in Huntsville, Alabama! We are searching for reliable and detail-oriented individuals to ensure the accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders. In this role, you will be instrumental in our warehouse operations, responsible for locating, retrieving, and preparing items for shipment. A strong commitment to safety and efficiency is essential, as you'll be navigating our warehouse, using equipment, and handling various products. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from designated warehouse locations using pick lists or handheld scanners.
- Verify product information against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Pack selected items securely and appropriately for shipment.
- Stage completed orders for quality control and shipping.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols and procedures, including proper lifting techniques.
- Properly use all required PPE, such as safety shoes and gloves.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or inventory issues to your supervisor.
- Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks) safely and efficiently when required.
- Contribute to team efforts to meet daily picking and shipping targets.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse setting is a plus.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and product labels.
- Familiarity with warehouse logistics and inventory control is advantageous.
- Willingness to comply with all safety regulations and wear provided PPE.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
