Join our dynamic logistics team as a Receiving Clerk in Jacksonville, Florida. This role is fundamental to our warehouse operations, focusing on the accurate and efficient intake of all incoming goods. You will be responsible for verifying deliveries, inspecting merchandise, processing receipts into our inventory system, and organizing received items for put-away. A strong commitment to accuracy, safety, and teamwork is paramount. Your attention to detail ensures that our inventory is precise and readily available for subsequent processes.
Responsibilities:
- Accept and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Verify contents against purchase orders and packing slips for accuracy and completeness.
- Inspect goods for any damage or defects.
- Record received items into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Tag and label received goods appropriately.
- Route received goods to the correct departments or storage locations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Communicate discrepancies or issues to supervisors and relevant departments promptly.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory counts as needed.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, inventory, or warehouse operations is a plus.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with WMS are advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and move goods, with a capacity of up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of general logistics principles.
- Willingness to follow safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality.
