Join our busy warehouse team as a Receiving Clerk in Miami, Florida! In this fast-paced role, you will be the first point of contact for all incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency from the moment they arrive. Your primary responsibility will be to unload trucks, verify shipment contents against purchase orders, inspect goods for damage, and accurately record all incoming inventory into our system. This position is critical to maintaining the flow of our logistics operations and ensuring our inventory is ready for distribution.
Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming freight from trucks safely and efficiently.
- Verify the quantity and condition of goods received against purchase orders and shipping manifests.
- Inspect incoming products for any damage, defects, or discrepancies.
- Accurately record received goods into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Tag and label received items for proper storage.
- Communicate any discrepancies or issues with vendors and internal teams.
- Stage incoming materials for put-away by other warehouse associates.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, including some lifting.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse receiving role is preferred.
- Familiarity with reading purchase orders and shipping documents.
- Basic computer skills for data entry into WMS.
- Ability to operate pallet jacks and other receiving equipment safely.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and perform regular lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain processes is a plus.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE.
