We are seeking a diligent and motivated Picker/Packer to join our dynamic logistics team in Phoenix, Arizona. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items from warehouse shelves and preparing them for shipment. Your attention to detail will ensure that orders are fulfilled correctly and efficiently, directly contributing to our company's success. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations and a commitment to maintaining high standards of productivity and accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders using a handheld scanner or other designated equipment.
- Verify product information against order slips to ensure accuracy.
- Assemble boxes, fill them with appropriate packing materials, and secure them for shipment.
- Label packages accurately and prepare them for outbound shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all warehouse safety protocols.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, particularly those related to safety and quality.
- Must be comfortable with regular lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or picking/packing role is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and product labels.
- Basic math skills for inventory verification.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles is beneficial.
- Commitment to safety in the workplace.
