Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for leading impactful projects and driving organizational change? The City is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Project Manager Business Solutions to lead major business transformation initiatives aligned with our long-term strategic goals. In this role, you will oversee complex projects from inception to completion, manage cross-functional teams, and ensure high standards of performance and accountability. You'll play a key role in shaping innovative solutions, managing budgets, and navigating stakeholder relationships—including senior leadership—while promoting collaboration, continuous improvement, and excellence in service delivery.
Major Responsibilities:
Key Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in the relevant field, such as Business Administration, Human Resources and Project Management etc., or equivalent combination of education and experience. Project Management (PMP) or change management designations are considered an asset.
- Extensive experience leading large, complex business transformation projects through all phases—from planning and design to testing, implementation, and support—with solid understanding of system development and testing processes, including defect tracking and industry best practices.
- Extensive experience in project management or program management, particularly with large-scale projects from inception to implementation, evaluation and completion with minimal direction while balancing political, community and other stakeholder interests.
- Experience using software such as Salesforce CRM, Contact Centre processes and technology would be considered an asset.
- Extensive experience engaging with stakeholders across all levels of government or within large organizations, including executives, staff, and community partners. Proven ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional and multi-disciplinary teams, build consensus, and align diverse interests to achieve common goals.
- Knowledge of various PM methodologies that include Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid and all associated practices and tools.
- Ability to provide strategic advice to senior leaders in areas of policy and/or issues management.
- Ability to work with multi-stakeholders, inclusive of designing and leading stakeholder engagement sessions, with the ability to balance political, organisational and stakeholders' interests.
- Ability to lead and/or manage projects including identifying project purpose, milestones and deliverables, and monitoring and tracking projects through completion.
- Ability to work in shared project management or program manager environment using collaborative project management tools such as MS Project, Jira and Confluence, for planning and implementing complex projects and/or packages.
- Ability to work across teams, and delegate tasks as necessary.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain an effective relationship with corporate clients, external stakeholders and vendors.
- Excellent problem-solving, leadership, facilitation, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively with others in a multidisciplinary team environment.
