Join our dynamic team as a Picker/Packer in Phoenix, Arizona! We are seeking reliable and efficient individuals to support our bustling logistics and distribution operations. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving items from inventory based on customer orders and then carefully packing them for shipment. Your attention to detail and speed are essential for ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining the smooth flow of goods through our warehouse. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, possess good hand-eye coordination, and be committed to working in a safe and productive environment. This role is fundamental to our success in the competitive logistics market.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately identify and pick products from designated warehouse locations using pick lists or scanners.
- Inspect products for quality and accuracy before packing.
- Select appropriate packaging materials and pack orders efficiently to prevent damage during transit.
- Apply shipping labels and any necessary documentation to packages.
- Stage packed orders in the designated shipping area.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all warehouse safety standards.
- Follow all instructions regarding lifting and material handling.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory checks and cycle counts as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a picking, packing, or general warehouse role is highly preferred.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform repetitive motions.
- Must be able to perform tasks involving frequent lifting, up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail in order fulfillment.
- Familiarity with basic warehouse logistics and inventory systems.
- Ability to work efficiently and meet productivity targets in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and the proper use of PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
