Seeking energetic Picker/Packers for our Kansas City, Missouri distribution center! This role is at the heart of our logistics operations, ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently fulfilled. You will be responsible for selecting items from warehouse shelves based on order tickets, carefully packing them for shipment, and preparing them for dispatch. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess good manual dexterity, and be committed to maintaining a fast-paced and safe working environment. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order lists.
- Inspect picked items for damage or defects.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers.
- Label packages correctly for shipping.
- Assist with staging picked and packed orders for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and the use of required PPE.
- Operate hand-held scanners and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Contribute to team goals for order fulfillment accuracy and speed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Must be able to handle frequent lifting of items up to 40 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in order selection and packing.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to following safety guidelines and wearing appropriate PPE.
- Basic reading and math skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
