Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance.
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
- Oversee the scheduling and assignment of warehouse staff, ensuring adequate coverage.
- Implement and enforce strict safety procedures, including the proper use of PPE and safe lifting practices.
- Train new warehouse employees on operational procedures, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization for maximum efficiency.
- Coordinate with transportation and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues as they arise, ensuring minimal disruption to workflow.
- Uphold high standards of quality control throughout all warehouse processes.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in warehouse coordination or a similar supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics principles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams and delegate tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse setting, including PPE requirements.
- Physical ability to perform manual lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in logistics or business is a plus.
