We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our warehouse operations in Boise, Idaho. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the accurate and timely dispatch of all outgoing shipments. Your duties will include preparing shipping labels, generating necessary documentation, coordinating with transportation carriers, and ensuring that all packages meet shipping requirements. This position is vital to our logistics efficiency, ensuring that our products reach customers reliably and without issue. A strong emphasis is placed on maintaining a secure and orderly shipping area, and adherence to all safety procedures is mandatory. We are looking for individuals with excellent organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Responsibilities:
- Generate accurate shipping labels and manifests for all outgoing orders.
- Prepare and verify all required shipping documentation.
- Coordinate with freight carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Inspect outgoing packages to ensure proper packaging and labeling.
- Maintain organized records of all shipments.
- Communicate with internal teams regarding shipping status and issues.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in the shipping department.
- Follow all workplace safety guidelines and procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar logistics role.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and online carrier platforms.
- Knowledge of shipping documentation and international shipping requirements is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically capable of occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
- Willingness to wear necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE ).
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
