As an Order Picker, you will be instrumental in ensuring our customers receive their products in a timely manner. This role involves navigating the warehouse, locating specific items using pick lists or scanning devices, and preparing them for the next stage of the shipping process. Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret pick lists or use scanning equipment to identify items to be picked.
- Locate and retrieve items from warehouse shelves and storage areas.
- Verify picked items against order specifications to ensure accuracy.
- Transport picked items to the packing or staging area.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety procedures and guidelines.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Report any discrepancies or damages to inventory.
- Contribute to inventory accuracy through careful order picking.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse role is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Strong spatial awareness and ability to navigate a large warehouse.
- Commitment to following safety protocols and using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Good time management skills and ability to meet picking quotas.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse environments and logistics operations.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
