We are hiring a Picker/Packer for our busy distribution center in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this essential role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items to fulfill customer orders and then preparing them for shipment. Your efficiency and accuracy are critical to our Logistics operations and overall customer satisfaction. You will work in a fast-paced environment as part of a dedicated team. We prioritize a safe working environment, and adherence to all Safety guidelines is mandatory. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from inventory according to order specifications.
- Pack items securely into shipping containers, ensuring product safety.
- Verify product codes and quantities to maintain order accuracy.
- Operate manual equipment such as pallet jacks for moving goods, following safe Lifting protocols.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area in compliance with Safety standards.
- Use scanning devices to track inventory movements and update order status.
- Perform quality checks on orders before dispatch.
- Wear all required PPE to ensure personal Safety.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the Logistics process by meeting picking and packing performance metrics.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in picking, packing, or a related warehouse role is beneficial.
- Ability to read and interpret order tickets accurately.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform frequent Lifting of items up to 40 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment.
- A strong understanding of Safety procedures and the importance of wearing PPE.
- Basic knowledge of Logistics principles.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
