Join our team in Columbus, Ohio, as a Picker/Packer! In this role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items for customer orders and preparing them for shipment. This position is crucial for our warehouse operations and contributes significantly to our Logistics capabilities. You will work with a dedicated team in a fast-paced environment, ensuring customer satisfaction through efficient and accurate order fulfillment. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from inventory based on order requirements.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers.
- Verify product codes and quantities before packing and shipping.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks for material movement, using safe Lifting practices.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station and warehouse area, adhering to Safety guidelines.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure accuracy and prevent shipping errors.
- Use scanning equipment to track inventory and update order status.
- Wear required PPE at all times to ensure personal Safety.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the Logistics process by meeting picking and packing targets.
- Follow all warehouse Safety rules and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in picking and packing or a related warehouse role is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret order sheets accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform frequent Lifting of up to 40 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and tools.
- A dedication to upholding Safety standards and using PPE correctly.
- Understanding of basic Logistics principles is helpful.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
