We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our dedicated team in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your primary goal will be to ensure the efficient and safe handling of materials within our warehouse. This includes loading and unloading trucks, transporting goods to and from storage areas, and assisting with inventory management. A critical aspect of this job is adherence to all Safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE ) such as hard hats and safety shoes. You must maintain a clean and organized work environment to prevent hazards and ensure operational efficiency. This position requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to perform moderate Lifting (up to 50 lbs) when necessary. Familiarity with warehouse Logistics and inventory control systems is a significant advantage. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and other items to and from loading docks, production areas, or storage facilities.
- Assist in inventory management, including cycle counting and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring aisles and pathways are clear.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Properly use required PPE at all times.
- Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on forklifts.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
- Support overall Logistics operations and assist with occasional Lifting tasks.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures and the importance of PPE .
- Ability to perform tasks requiring moderate Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Understanding of warehouse operations and basic Logistics .
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
- Reliability and punctuality.
