We are seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our Dallas, Texas team. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for tracking stock levels, conducting regular audits, investigating discrepancies, and implementing procedures to minimize errors and loss. Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records within the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to verify stock levels.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
- Implement and improve inventory control procedures to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Manage the receiving and put-away process to ensure accurate inventory capture.
- Monitor stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) to minimize spoilage and obsolescence.
- Generate inventory reports for management, highlighting key metrics and trends.
- Collaborate with warehouse operations teams to ensure proper handling and storage of goods.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe work environment.
- Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
- Understand and apply principles related to material handling and Lifting.
- Support broader Logistics operations through accurate inventory management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety best practices.
- Physical ability to perform occasional Lifting of up to 30 pounds and work in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of Logistics and supply chain principles.
- Willingness to wear required PPE.
Working Conditions:
This role is primarily office-based with significant time spent in the warehouse environment for audits and checks. Employees must adhere to all Safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE when in operational areas. The position requires accuracy, analytical skills, and an understanding of warehouse Logistics. Ability to perform occasional Lifting is necessary.
