We are looking for a diligent Material Handler to join our team in Boise, Idaho. This role is essential for maintaining the flow of materials within our distribution center, ensuring that products are moved efficiently and safely to their designated locations. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for operating various types of material handling equipment, loading and unloading trucks, and organizing inventory. Your attention to detail and commitment to Safety will be critical in this position. We are committed to providing a productive and safe working environment where every team member is valued. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload shipments from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from production, storage, and shipping areas.
- Inspect equipment before and after use, reporting any issues to management.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage areas, ensuring proper stock rotation.
- Assist with cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Follow all instructions regarding Lifting techniques and weight limits.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals within the Logistics framework.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment is required.
- Valid forklift operator certification is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting and manual tasks.
- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems is advantageous.
Working Conditions:
This role involves working in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Constant physical activity, including frequent Lifting, pushing, and pulling, is expected. Employees will be required to wear appropriate PPE, and adherence to Safety guidelines is strictly enforced. This Logistics position requires the ability to work effectively with various types of equipment.
