We are looking for a dedicated Order Picker to join our growing team in Nashville, Tennessee. In this role, you will be instrumental in accurately fulfilling customer orders, ensuring the efficient operation of our logistics hub. Your responsibilities will include locating and retrieving items from warehouse shelves, verifying order accuracy, and preparing items for shipment. A strong focus on accuracy, speed, and attention to detail is essential. We are committed to fostering a safe working environment, which includes thorough training on safe lifting practices, the use of material handling equipment, and the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position offers a great chance to develop your skills within the logistics and supply chain industry.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products based on order sheets or scanning technology.
- Locate items within the warehouse efficiently, following designated picking paths.
- Verify the quantity and accuracy of picked items against the order.
- Transport picked items to the packing and shipping areas.
- Ensure picked items are handled carefully to prevent damage.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, contributing to overall warehouse efficiency.
- Assist with stocking and replenishment of inventory when needed.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including safe lifting and the use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts.
- Contribute positively to team efforts and logistics goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a warehouse or order picking role is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 40 pounds.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic understanding of logistics and warehouse operations.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the consistent use of required PPE.
