Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Inventory Control Specialist for our Atlanta, Georgia distribution center. This pivotal role ensures the accuracy and integrity of our inventory, playing a crucial part in our overall logistics efficiency. You will be responsible for managing inventory levels, conducting audits, investigating discrepancies, and implementing improvements to minimize loss and optimize stock management. A strong analytical mindset, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to safety are essential for success. You will work closely with warehouse teams to maintain high standards of inventory accuracy and ensure compliance with all warehouse and logistics procedures, including safe lifting practices and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and maintain precise inventory counts within the WMS.
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve all inventory discrepancies promptly and accurately.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve inventory accuracy and reduce shrinkage.
  • Track the movement and location of all inventory items.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure proper organization and storage of inventory to maximize space and accessibility.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to address inventory-related issues.
  • Generate comprehensive reports on inventory status, accuracy, and adjustments.
  • Uphold the highest standards of safety in all inventory management activities, including safe lifting and consistent use of PPE.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory control within a warehouse or distribution environment.
  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds, and follow safe lifting procedures.
  • Solid understanding of logistics principles and supply chain operations.
  • Unwavering commitment to safety protocols and the correct use of PPE.
