Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts with precision and safety to move, stack, and unstack materials within the warehouse.
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from trucks and containers, verifying contents against documentation.
- Stage finished goods for outbound shipment, ensuring correct placement and readiness.
- Transport materials between different zones of the warehouse as directed.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any defects or maintenance needs promptly.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and assist with stocktaking procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, free from hazards.
- Strictly adhere to all safety protocols and wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to logistics and warehouse operations.
- Collaborate effectively with supervisors and team members to meet operational goals.
Requirements:
- Valid forklift operator certification recognized in California.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Demonstrated knowledge of forklift safety regulations and best practices in logistics.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills related to equipment operation.
- Physical ability to perform tasks requiring standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
